Olivier Taquin started his carreer back in 1978 as a teacher. Interested by the mime, he decided to develop his knowledge of the discipline to be able to teach it to his students at school. Until 1984, he produce himself as an amateur mime clown in several location and finally decided to choose the status of professionnal artist in the show business. In 1985, he founded the mime duet called “Les frères Taquins” with Olivier Dechaveau. They won several world trophies including a gold medal in 1987 at the World Festival of Circus in paris as well as a bronze clown at the Montecarlo’s Festival in 2007.
The Knie Circus, the Roncalli Circus, the Big Apple Circus of New York, the Crazy Horse of Paris, the Wintergarten Variety of Berlin are, among others, some places that cheered him. Graduated educator, he has always, throughout his trips, shared his experience by coaching artists he met and by giving mime lessons where he was at the time. The duet was one of the headliners this 2th july 2017 during our festival and delighted the kids and their parents.
